Frequently asked questions
Is there a GPS dog tracker without a subscription?
Not for unlimited-range live tracking: both trackers contain a SIM card and need a plan. Bluetooth tags only locate a pet when a compatible phone passes nearby.
Which is cheaper over 5 years in the UK?
With the prices recorded on 22 October 2026, the Weenect XT costs £264.99 over 5 years (£44.99 device + £220 five-year plan). The Tractive DOG 6 costs £59 plus €300 for the five-year Premium plan, which Tractive bills in euros.
Why are Tractive plans shown in euros?
Tractive publishes and bills its subscriptions in euros, including for UK customers. We do not convert them, because the pound amount depends on your card’s exchange rate on the day of payment.
